Easy Answers for Common Questions
How long will my tour last? Can I bring my dog?
Most tours average 15 to 30 minutes. For the tour its best to leave your pet at home. We really want to have undistracted one-on-one time with just you to learn how you’d like to plan the services you and your pet needs.
What should I know going into this?
It’s helpful to know what services you are interested in. We offer Lodging, Daycare, Grooming and Training. We’re going to get down to the nitty gritty of what you need and your pet needs to better the relationship and make you their hero. Don’t feel like you need to have everything figured out before you come in; we’re pretty good at helping you get to the right path.
Should I bring anything with me?
All dogs and cats need to be up to date on vaccinations for: Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella (dog only). It is something we will need at some point if you choose to book services with us. But don’t worry if you don’t happen to have them ready at hand. There are several ways you can get them to us and we can let you know when you come for your tour. . And by the way, don’t feel weird if you to want to show us your pictures of your dog or cat. We love it. Who doesn’t have pictures on their smart phone!
Am I going to be talking to a knowledge person?
Yes! And, a significant portion of our team has been with us for over 15 years, something we’re quite proud of. We are all committed to helping you figure out what’s best for your dog. If we don’t believe Meyer’s is the best fit for you, we’ll tell you so.
How does booking services with Meyer’s work?
Once you’ve decided which service(s) you want, we will set a plan, something we call a GROUNDWORK PLAN for your pet. We guide you through the plan and do our part to give you feedback in the end, letting you know how it’s progressing.
Is it okay to schedule a tour if I’m not quite ready to sign up for a service?
Absolutely! Coming out for a tour is a lot of fun and we actually prefer it. Some of our services have time constraints and we want to set your pet up for success. You get to see all that we do here, meet some of the team who’ll work with your pet, and see how our operation works. We would love to have you out even if you’re not ready to decide on a service.
What are your hours?
Our facility hours are typically 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 7:30 -12 and Sunday 4-6 pm, but if you take a look at our scheduling form it tells you exactly what hours are available for tours each day. But don’t worry; staff is always here outside of regular business hours, behind the scenes caring for everyone.
Can I just show up without an appointment?
Yes but, we prefer that you to book an appointment because at certain times we are busier with our pet-customers and we want to make sure we have enough time to spend with you when you come out. You are welcome to book an appointment for the same day, but if you would like a Saturday slot, its best to book early in the week or even the week before to make sure we have availability for you.
